De Fourtnoy is the master-at-arms of Nottingham Castle. He appears in the episode "Who Shot the Sheriff?". On the orders of Sheriff Vaisey he kills a washer woman and 2 stable boys, framing Robin Hood for the murders to turn public opinion against the outlaw. The plan ultimately falls apart when Robin catches an actual assassin trying to murder the Sheriff. In order to ensure De Fourtnoy's silence, the Sheriff orders Guy of Gisborne to kill De Fourtnoy.
