Thornton, portrayed by John Carlisle, is Robin's manservant at Locksley Manor. He is probably related to Miss Thornton who is a also working as a servant at the manor.
He is shown to be very close to Robin and welcomes him home with a hug, however he is shown to be somewhat uncomfortable at the thought of Much being a freeman.
