Luke Scarlett is the younger brother of Will Scarlett and the son of Dan Scarlett and Jane Scarlett .

In his first appearance in the first episode, he and Will are about to be hanged for theft when Robin Hood saves them.

He makes a reappearance in "The Angel of Death", wanting to help the outlaws avenge his father's death and save the villagers, who have been poisoned, but Will tricks him into leaving Nottingham for Scarborough in order to protect him.

• Luke Scarlett was played by two different actors. In "Will You Tolerate This?" he was played by Jonathan Readwin, in "The Angel of Death" he was portrayed by Christian Cooke.
• Christian Cooke once played a young biker who was infatuated with a gang leader, played by his Robin Hood co-star, Richard Armitage. Cooke also appeared in season 4 of Doctor Who.
